The Palestine Collection
Nobody is free until everyone is free. That starts in Palestine and extends to Sudan, Congo, Tibet, and everywhere else.
The Jaffa Orange, first grown by Palestinian farmers in the namesake town, symbolized the once-thriving global economy of Palestine. From the 1840s all the way up until Nakba in 1948, the Jaffa orange was known worldwide for its sweet taste and thick skin. It was a dominant Palestinian export.
Like in many instances, however, western Imperialists wanted the Jaffas all for themselves. After the Nakba in 1948, Jaffa farmers were driven from their homes, forced to abandon their decades-old farms to Israeli settlers. Today, Jaffa farms still exist inside Israeli-occupied Jaffa, waiting to be revived when the day of a free Palestine arrives.
Each shirt has a story. Palestine's Jaffa oranges is one of them.

Leila Khaled had the guts to do what most wouldn't- she took real action to fight against oppression. Khaled was a member of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and has remained a steadfast symbol of Palestinian liberation since the 1970s. With a free Palestine still as much of a dream as since 1949, the nation desperately needs the energy of another Leila Khaled.
